Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed September 21, 2026 · Last updated September 22, 2026

Cindi & Nick’s Coin Shop & Refinery wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim for the website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and to support the accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We have not had the website independently certified, and we do not claim full conformance.

What we have done

  • Pages use a clear heading structure, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link.
  • Every part of the website can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. The mobile menu and the photo viewer keep keyboard focus inside them while they are open and close with the Escape key.
  • Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA color contrast.
  • Images that carry information have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • The homepage photo slideshow can be paused, and it does not move at all if your device is set to reduce motion. Scroll animations are also turned off in that setting.
  • Buttons and links are sized to be easy to tap on a phone, and pages reflow to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling.

The website was last reviewed on September 21, 2026, using automated testing (axe-core, checking WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules on every page at desktop and mobile sizes) and manual keyboard testing.

Known limitations

Many photographs on the website are stock images. Their text alternatives describe what each photograph shows, but they are illustrations rather than pictures of our own items. We have not yet tested the website with every combination of screen reader and browser.

Photographs on this site are illustrative stock images and do not show the shop’s own inventory; the exceptions are the photographs of the building and its signage, which were taken on site. Coins, bullion and collectible currency are commodities and collectibles. Values move with the market and with the condition and rarity of an individual piece. Nothing on this website is investment, tax or legal advice, and no price or valuation is offered or implied here. Bring your items in and we will look at them with you.
